Positive Health Pharmacy – St. Norbert Clinic, located in Winnipeg, MB is currently looking for a full-time Receptionist.  The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week. The usual shifts for this position will be Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Receptionist is responsible for overseeing the entire office. This includes diverse duties such as providing support for the physician in the clinic, book appointments, answer calls, check-in patients, handle reports, update the EMR system and provide customer service.  Preference will be given to those with previous experience.

The successful candidates must have a professional attitude, excellent written communication, and organizational skills. Applicants must be motivated, work well independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.

JOB DESCRIPTION: RECEPTIONIST

OBJECTIVE: To facilitate clerical operation of the clinic including adherence to Rubicon’s policies, development of a professional image, support in a way that promotes the value of the clinic and passionate to deliver superior patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reception Duties

  • Serve patients by greeting them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient accounts and records.
  • Provides excellent customer service by answering all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and/or refer inquiries to optimize patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure patient appointments are on schedule by notifying of patient’s arrival and of any delays.
  • Maintains patient accounts by entering and updating account information with Input health EMR system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information.
  • Complete accurate documentation under clinical supervision.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Be familiar with best practices for office procedures including telephone communications, office systems and electronic record keeping.
  • Be familiar with medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and as a team, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to exercise accuracy, confidentiality, tact, and discretion and while maintaining the integrity of all.
  • Experience in a medical office and proficiency with Accuro EMRs will be an asset.
  • Experience as a receptionist in a medical setting is a strong asset.
