Vegreville Drug Mart, located in Vegreville, AB is currently looking for a responsible and trustworthy individual to join their team as a Delivery Driver. The successful candidate must be available to work 38hrs to 40 hours per week. The usual shift will be Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Delivery Driver is responsible for completing deliveries to our customers. They are responsible for daily vehicle inspections of the company van and maintaining the safety and security of the cargo. This position also requires the candidate to lift and maneuver large packages. They will be responsible for any store maintenance as determined by the Pharmacy Manager.

Applicants should possess superior communication and customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and have the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Delivery Driver makes deliveries of various items to our customers promptly and courteously, performs heavy lifting and other duties as required. The Delivery Person must oversee all functions of the delivery vehicle’s condition including a daily vehicle inspection, maintain the safety and security of the cargo, and manage any payments. The delivery driver is also responsible for the organization and distribution of merchandise, record keeping, and other inventory-related duties as required.



  • Deliver prescriptions and front store items to patients in an efficient, organized, and well-conducted manner.
  • Maintain daily reporting as required.
  • Complete proper delivery documentation. Ensure delivery slips are signed and submitted.
  • Ensure all mail is postmarked and mailed every day.
  • Maintain Delivery Automobile including neatness, clean, fuel, oil, tires, and general maintenance when needed. Utilize and update maintenance log binder.
  • Complete monthly totals for delivery record keeping.


  • Candidates must possess a valid and permanent provincial driver's licence.
  • Maintain the safety and integrity of the company vehicle.
  • Must have held a safe driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver large packages.
  • Eligible candidates must provide a driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills and a display a high degree of professionalism.
