Rubicon Health Solutions, located in Regina-Winnipeg Street, SK is currently accepting resumes for a full-time Bookkeeper. This position will work approximately 40 hours per week. This location is open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The usual shifts will fall between these days and times.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Bookkeeper is responsible for performing various accounts payable duties such as bank reconciliations, filing, mailing, financial statements, and payment processing.

Applicants must be motivated and have excellent communication skills. The candidates will join a pharmacy team that prides itself in delivering excellent customer service.

JOB DESCRIPTION: BOOKKEEPER

OBJECTIVE: under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, to perform specific accounting duties and work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and enhance organizational effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounts payable.
  • Bank deposits.
  • Managing accounts receivable system.
  • Receiving incoming mail.
  • Ordering and monitoring office supplies.
  • Various types of filing, including prescription filing.
  • Assisting with mid-month and month-end nursing home billings.
  • Customer Service includes setting up payment options.
  • Notifying customers and the manager of delinquent accounts.
  • Counting Till and Float.
  • Processing payments and responding to customer inquiries about accounts.
  • General office duties.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience is an asset. This is an entry-level role.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of internet and email use
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written format
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in the workplace.
  • Work steadily under deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative, direction, and prioritize
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position the successful candidate must complete a Criminal Record Check.
