Earl's Pharmacy, located in Saskatoon SK, is currently accepting resumes for a full-time Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week. The shifts will fall between the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Bookkeeper is responsible for performing various accounts payable duties such as bank reconciliations, filing, mailing, financial statements, processing all care home patient statements at mid-month and month-end, managing AR system, payment processing, ordering office supplies, customer service including setting up payment options and notifying customers and manager of delinquent accounts and responding to customer inquiries about accounts.

Applicants must be motivated, possess superior organizational skills, and work well both independently and as part of a team.

JOB DESCRIPTION: BOOKKEEPER

OBJECTIVE: under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, to perform specific accounting duties and working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and enhance organizational effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounts payable
  • Bank deposits
  • Assisting with accounts receivable
  • Processing incoming mail
  • Ordering and monitoring office supplies
  • Various types of filing, including prescription filing.
  • Assisting with mid-month and month-end nursing home billings
  • General office duties

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 - 3 years accounts payable clerk or related office experience
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of internet and email use
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in the workplace.
  • Work steady under deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative, direction, and prioritize.
